You heard right. To you, freedom is the ability to act, speak, or think as you may or may not
want. Then why try to escape from it. Truth is, we now leave in a distorted society where freedom
is the prison itself.
Freedom sounds so sweet and attractive but yet seems to be as terrifying, as you having a
nightmare in the cold dark raining night alone in your room (you choose to be alone).
Overtime, every being on mother earth has yearned to be free from one form of oppression
or the other, just like the popular last born being burdened with washing plates used by the
whole family, praying to be free someday from washing plate. To such persons, this is an
oppression on their perceived lack of will to do house chores or partake in any other
activities. They just want to relas and be taken kia off.
…freedom sounds so sweet and attractive but yet seems to be as terrifying…
The world and yonder have been preaching freedom for all beings to be able to express
themselves and act as they feel like. This has led to numerous societal issues abound today
in our world, as freedom itself possess more danger to the moral code of human in
existence for decades.
According to a saying, awuf de run belle. Curbing excesses by people, when they know they
have free hand to do as they wish without any recourse leads to more damaging scenarios.
A perfect scenario is a teenager who has been yearning for freedom to be able to
practicalize what they see on tv, or heard from friends. In few cases, these children don’t
have the mental capacity to curb their own excesses while trying to have a taste of the world.
Same goes for drunks, armed robbers, internet fraudsters, man-slaughterers (someone who
kills somebody with a car from over-speeding), they all thought they had it under control until
they over above the limit all in the name of being free to drink, carry weapons, own a laptop
or drive a car.
Yes, we all want freedom, but can we handle it?
If humanity cannot live with the dangers and responsibilities inherent in freedom, it will most
likely descend to an authoritarian society, as freedom is a form of prison, as we are not truly
free if we have to consider the well being of others.
